Biography
Rae Ceretto is a documentary photographer and filmmaker with a focus on women, children, and human rights. At the age of 15, Rae moved to Serbia to complete her first documentary short based around the 1999 NATO bombings and death of former Yugoslavian dictator Slobodan Milosevic. Following the completion of her short film, she graduated from New York University.
Rae has spent the majority of her career focusing on supporting vulnerable communities around the globe. She has collaborated and created work for some of the biggest names in the nonprofit, business and entertainment world including; UNICEF, Operation Smile, UNHCR, Rolling Stone Magazine, CBS, and Red Bull Media House.
In 2020 Rae co-founded an all female production company, Honeypot Productions and released her mini-short doc, We Do Not Live Here, based on her work at the Migrant Caravan in Tijuana. We Do Not Live Here was released in April 2020 and featured in Rolling Stone Magazine. Rae is currently directing her first feature length documentary, Seeking Asylum. Seeking Asylum spotlights the current struggle migrants face when seeking asylum in the United States.
