Flaura is an award winning editor based in London. She is represented by Stitch for commercials and Homespun for music and long-form.
Flaura started her career by editing music videos, and has worked with artists such as Massive Attack, Rudimental, Anne Marie, Laura Mvula, Ben Howard and Jess Glynne. Flaura received her first 'Best Edit' nomination at the ukMVA's 2018 for 'Body' by Estrons.
Flaura has worked with director Ed Morris (Riff Raff) on numerous projects including Mini, which won Bronze for Best Editing at the Creative Circle Awards 2022, New York Bakery, Royal Navy and the NHS 'Then, Now, Always' campaign, which won Silver for Best Editing at the Shots EMEA Awards 2021 and Bronze for Best Editing at the Creative Circle Awards 2021. She also edited his debut feature film, How To Stop A Recurring Dream in 2018/19, which has received Official Selections for over 10 international Film Festivals and won Best Narrative Feature at Aesthetica Film Festival 2020 and Best Feature at the British Urban Film Festival 2020 and also at Magnolia Film Festival 2021.
Flaura edited her second feature, COLD, directed by Lisle Turner and Claire Coaché at the start of 2021. Flaura was awarded Best Editor at the LA Independent Women Film Awards 2022, at the RED Movie Awards 2022, at the NY Independent Cinema Awards 2022, at the LA Indies Awards 2022 and also at the Kansas Arthouse Film Festival 2022. COLD has also won several 'Best Feature' awards including Best British Feature at the London Independent Film Awards 2022.
Flaura has cut several short films. She has edited three shorts for director Eros Vlahos - Right Place, Wrong Tim (2018), Double Tap (2019) and Good Boy (2023). Right Place, Wrong Tim had it's World Premiere at Frightfest in 2018 and both Right Place Wrong Tim and Double Tap gained Official Selection for SXSW Film Festival. Double Tap won Gold for Best Editing at the Kinsale Shark Short Film Awards in 2020. Good Boy is set for release late 2023.
Flaura also edited a short horror film called NASTY, directed by Prano Bailey-Bond, which has been screened at over 90 festivals worldwide including the BFI Film Festival in 2015. NASTY has received multiple awards including Winner Best International Short at the Women in Horror Film Festival 2017 and Winner Grand Prize International Competition at Dijon Short Film Festival 2016.
There is always a faint snoring coming from the corner of Flaura’s edit suite, the source is her pug Dink, the laziest dog in the world.
