Biography
Lizzy Bailey creates work that is honest, warm, always engaging, and sometimes funny. A curious creative at heart, Lizzy’s love for filmmaking began as a teen which led to her studying Film at Canterbury University in New Zealand, before moving to Melbourne to attend VCA. Her interest in people leads her to delve deep into her character's world's, searching for believability in their actions and motivations, while her passion for cinematography and the power of visual storytelling results in moving imagery. Lizzy has worked alongside prominent directors and amongst leading companies in the film and advertising world; she has worked with award winning directors Tony Rogers, Mark Molloy and Garth Davis. She has directed for major clients including Kellogg's, Swisse and SPC. Her latest short documentary ‘Yes?’ is currently doing the festival rounds in Australia, while she is in early development stages on several upcoming projects. Whether she’s telling narrative or documentary stories, she always looks to create beautiful cinematic imagery and find a sense of genuine, down to earth honesty.
