Biography
VICTORIA FIORE is an independent and multilingual film director based between Naples, London and Rio de Janeiro working with creative documentaries that blend fact with fiction to tackle globally relevant social issues through visceral character-driven stories.
NASCONDINO is her directorial feature debut, and will premiere in Competition at the BFI London Film Festival in October 2021. She is currently in development with magic realist fiction screenplay, AIDA. She is a recipient of support from BFI Doc Society, IDFA Academy, Berlinale Talents, BAFTA Crew, Sundance Co//ab, Film Commission Campania and is part of the Film Independent 2021 Documentary Lab. Her short films have appeared on VICE, New York Times Op-Docs, NOWNESS, WeTransfer and more, as well as played as Oscar-qualifying film festivals around the world.
In the commercial sphere, fluency in six languages (English, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese with working French and Russian) has led her to direct global commercial campaigns for brands including VANS, The National Lottery, DIAGEO, WeTransfer, Johnson & Johnson, LG, the BBC, and agencies such as JWT and VIRTUE, and collaborated on global feature projects including LIFE IN A DAY 2020 (Dir. Kevin McDonald, Prod. RSA Films).
