Despite being homeschooled, Faith likes to think that she had a normal childhood… if reenacting Greek myths instead of playing house is “normal,” and months researching Chinatown’s gang wars may be considered a “childhood.” In seeking community outside the given system, Faith has encountered people and cultures that inspire her work: she has documented the shared experiences of Sudanese refugees and Polish expats; directed a Cold-War setting of Mozart’s Magic Flute; and published in multiple academic journals on Tolkien and Southern Gothic fiction. She received her MFA in Screenwriting from USC as an Annenberg Graduate Fellow and the school’s inaugural T.C. Wang scholar, served as the writers’ assistant for WARRIOR S2 and the writers’ PA for BETTER CALL SAUL S5, and more recently was a 2019 CAPE New Writers Fellow and an inaugural participant in the Lucky Exports Pitch Program. She writes about loners finding community in unlikely places.
