Biography
ABIOLA ABRAMS is a intuitive mindset coach, author, transformational speaker, retreat leader, media personality and award-winning author. She has spoken on stages including Cornell University, Dropbox Headquarters, Essence Festival, Chicago Ideas Week and much more.
Her forthcoming book, meditation album and affimation cards will be published by Hay House in Summer 2021.
In broadcast media, Abiola has given motivational advice on networks such as: MTV, the CW, the Discovery Channel and the BBC. For 5 years, Abiola wrote “Intimacy Interventions,” the number one advice column online for ESSENCE (#1 global black women’s publication). In addition, Abiola has shared her inspiration on sites and publications from MindBodyGreen and the DailyOm to the Huffington Post and Match.com. Her work has also been featured in numerous online summits and conferences including “The Tapping World Summit” by Hay House authors Jessica Ortner and Nick Ortner.
Her last book, The Sacred Bombshell Handbook of Self-Love, won “Best Self-Help” at the African American Literary Awards 2014 in a category that included Iyana Vanzant, Bishop TD Jakes and Russell Simmons. Her debut “self-help novel” Dare was published by Simon and Schuster and republished in partnership with Walmart’s African American books initiative. In response to Dare, Paper Magazine named her one of their Most Beautiful People. Her womanist writing has also been published in numerous anthologies including Eve Ensler’s A Monologue, A Rant and A Prayer (Villard), Paula Derrow’s Behind the Bedroom Door and Ellen Sussman’s Dirty Words (Bloomsbury).
In June 2020, Abiola was scheduled to make her Omega Institute debut in Rhinebeck, NY with her “Goddess Unmasked Retreat and Liberation Summer Camp” for 500 women but it was postponed due to the pandemic. Her previous annual global goddess retreats include: “Abundance Pray Love” in Bali (2017), “Goddess Pray Love” in Belize (2018) and the “Goddess of Paris Miracles and Manifesting Retreat. (2019)” Related workshops at the College of Psychic Studies in London (2017) included “Womanifesting with the Goddesses: Your Power and Abundance.”
Abiola’s popular affirmation card decks include the” African Goddess Affirmation Cards,” “Womanifesting Fertility Goddess Oracle Cards” and the “Sacred Bombshell Self-Love Journaling Cards.” Her meditation albums include “The Sacred Bombshell Self-Love Meditations” and “Manifesting Your Miracles, Magic and Mojo.”
Abiola’s modalities include goddess divinity, shadow work, chakra healing, meditation, tapping, intuitive coaching and divination, which manifest in the world as books, videos, courses, blogs, podcasts, workshops, talks, meditation albums and goddess affirmation oracle cards.
Abiola made history as the creator, writer and performer in "Goddess City," the first known hip hop theater piece, which is included in the anthology Say Word (University of Michigan Press). Her art films have screened at festivals like the Berlinale and her experimental womanist art film Ophelia's Opera was recently picked up by Miranda July's Criterion Collection.

Abiola has a BA in sociology, creative writing and theater from Sarah Lawrence College and an MFA from Vermont College of Fine Arts in women’s media and storytelling.
