Elaine's most recent directing work is a genre bending dance-drama-thriller Tubi Original feature film, Midnight Hustle. Her short films, Me 3.769 and Princess Cut, went on to air on HBOmax.
She's a winner of the HBO Latinx Short Film Director award. Her festival awards include from SXSW, Urbanworld, Catalyst Stories, and Seriesfest.
Elaine's long term project has been (producing and directing) her autobiographical coming-of-age narrative micro-budget feature, Brownsville Bred. Filming in parts, since 2020 and over the course of several years, the film is primarily set in her hometown of Brownsville and features child actors in the roles of Elaine and her siblings. Now more than 2/3rds complete, her film's final portion will be filmed in Puerto Rico. Principal Photography is set to complete in early 2024.
Elaine is a WarnerMedia 150 Artist, Sundance Writer & Director Lab alumna, Shondaland Director finalist and two-time Lynn Shelton award nominee.
As a WRITER, across mediums, Elaine's original one-hour procedural drama pilot, The System, was bought by CBS network; Her feature screenplay was a Screencraft Film Fund finalist and the NY Times hailed her off-Broadway stage play "A Triumph." Elaine recently completed the (invite only) WGA Showrunner Academy.
Trained as an ACTOR at New York City's Carnegie Hall by Wynn Handman, Elaine's recent acting roles include as a recurring guest star in the ABC hip-hop drama Queens**, The Resident, The Sinner, and Law & Order: Organized Crime.**
On a mission to make her own work, and expand representation and opportunities for underrepresented artists, Elaine founded Del Valle Productions, Inc. She has PRODUCED over 50 titles, and was the first person ever to license an interstitial series to HBO.
As a bilingual, certified MBE (minority business enterprise) with an eye for talent, her company was approached to source on-camera talent. Elaine's Del Valle Productions CASTING division is a proud member of CSA and has become the go-to for discovering up-and-coming diverse talent and rising stars for high profile brands, agencies, and studios. Its castings include for Arturo Castro's Alternatino (Comedy Central Digital) and Sonia Manzano's Emmy-winning Alma's Way (PBS Kids, Fred Rogers Productions).
Elaine is the recipient of the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce's Excellence in Arts award, and was featured in the PBS documentary Beating The Odds, alongside such luminaries as Michelle Obama. Elaine was also recently awarded the John Taylor award and a bench dedication in her hometown of Brownsville Brooklyn. All recognitions reflect her leadership in and support of expanding opportunities and representation in entertainment.
