Biography
Born in San Francisco, Richard Valencia is a first-generation Filipino American writer-director with works in narrative, commercial, and music video. He completed his BFA in film production from San Francisco State University in 2016 and graduated with honors in Cinematography awarded by Kodak and Canon. After two years of work in the music industry, he co-founded a film production studio in 2018 called Burned Negative, a film house focused on bringing diverse voices to the forefront of the entertainment industry. Much of his work from the past year has been centered on developing his first narrative feature.
