++Heidi Berg++ (they/them) is an Emmy nominated Director, Creative, Artist, and mental health advocate. As a queer nonbinary storyteller, their work touches that liminal space between the personal and the transpersonal, utilizing the language of metaphor, archetype, and myth to craft visuals ripe for projection.
A Utah native, Heidi grew up within a tight-knit Mormon community. They attended Utah Valley State College studying theater, and Salt Lake Community College, where they studied graphic design. Heidi started their career in print while studying in San Francisco, graduating from The California College of the Arts (CCA) with a BFA.
Heidi's body of work spans such companies as Netflix, HBO, Google, Apple, Nike, BMW, Mercedes-Benz, and title sequences for ++Hollywood++, ++Ratched++, ++The Politician++, ++Pose++, ++The Outsider++, ++The Alienist++, ++Truth be Told++, and other culture-setting programs.
In collaboration, they crafted the main title and graphics for the HBO documentary special ++Eyes on the Prize: Hallowed Ground,++ and in 2019 they co-directed the opening film for the ++Semi-Permanent ++conference in Sidney.
Heidi's talents were also deployed in varied roles for production houses (creative direction on pitches), ++RadicalMedia++, ++CAA++, ++Reset++, ++MJZ++ (freelance creative director and director), ++Elastic++, and (freelance art director/designer) ++The Mill++.
Their work has been awarded and cited by the ++Television Academy++--garnering two Emmy nominations for The Politician and The Alienist title sequences--AICP, AIGA, Cannes Film Festival, CMYK, Print, Shot On Red Film Festival, and The San Francisco Museum of Craft and Design.
