Biography
Salli Richardson-Whitfield is an industry veteran of over 30 years. She is featured in over 20 major motion pictures and has starred opposite a number of Hollywood’s top actors, including Samuel L. Jackson in The Great White Hype, Denzel Washington in Antwone Fisher, and Will Smith in I Am Legend. She is best known for starring in the Syfy network’s hit series Eureka, where she also directed two episodes.
After starting her directing career on Eureka, she directed a block of episodes for the new Ava Duvernay OWN series, Queen Sugar, an episode of Shawdowhunters for Freeform and an episode of Underground for WGN. In 2017, she's already wrapped on her episodes of Starz's Survivor's Remorse and ABC's Scandal. She’s booked to direct Netflix’s Luke Cage, SyFy’s The Magicians, Fox’s Star, and an episode of Freeform’s Stichers, where she’ll also return to her starring role for the third season.
In her spare time, Salli Richardson-Whitfield is a wife and mother who participates in countless charitable and philanthropic events, including The K.I.S. foundation.
