Riley Hooper is a documentary filmmaker based in New York City. Her love of people is at the heart of everything she does. From documentary films to commercials, as a director Riley falls in love with her subjects and strives to tell stories that unique are true to them, both in content and form. Her award-winning short documentaries have screened at festivals across the U.S. and internationally, and have appeared on The New York Times — as part of their Op Doc and Made with Kickstarter series — as well as Vimeo Staff Picks, Short of the Week, The New Yorker, and The Atlantic. She has directed commercial content for such clients as Chase Ink, Charles Schwab, AARP, and John Frieda. She is currently working on her first feature documentary, Vestibule, a first-person essay dance film about sexual health and agency.
