    Mikayla Gamble is a photographer and director based in Los Angeles. Crafting stories driven by meaning and purpose, Mikayla represents the next generation of filmmakers. Her powerful storytelling and compelling imagery explore the complexities, nuances, and narratives of people of color. She delivers strong social messages through a thought-provoking, authentic style.

    Mikayla’s ability to shoot and edit makes her a versatile director fully capable of bringing her vision to life.

    Recent work includes a short film created in support of Black Lives Matter (BLM) that premiered on the BLM Instagram page on November 2nd in the build-up to Election Day. Shot in Santa Barbara at Loon Point Beach, the Cowboys rode on the beach for the very first time. Symbols of freedom and healing in their Black community, the Cowboys deliver their call to action - encouraging Black voters to take to the polls.

    Mikayla’s most recent collaboration with Snapchat on their “Show Up” campaign helped to inspire historic youth voter turnout this election cycle. With the help of Snap, over 1.2 million young people registered to vote, taking an important step to make sure their voices are heard in politics and beyond.
