Talia Osteen has written and performed as a singer-songwriter and composer. She is half of the singer-songwriter duo The Wellspring. They composed the music for Bravo/Netflix/NBCU’s dramatic TV series, IMPOSTERS, as well as two feature comedies, SLOW LEARNERS (Netflix/IFC) and COFFEE TOWN (HBO/College Humor). As a band, they’ve released 5 albums (indie pop/folk/rock), toured the country opening for Pete Yorn and Ben Kweller, and have had their music placed in shows like HOUSE, M.D., COUGAR TOWN and ORANGE IS THE NEW BLACK.
Before founding The Wellspring, Talia worked on the producing side as Head of Production and Development at Overnight Productions (BLACK SWAN, THE LUCKY ONES, MACHETE) in New York, so when given the opportunity to score the music for a feature film, COFFEE TOWN, she found it the perfect marriage of her love of cinema and music.
She enjoys the wide range of musical styles she’s able to explore in composing for different characters, themes and genres. Talia’s excited to utilize her knack for hooks and catchy melodies to continue to compose and write songs for film/TV and dip into the advertising arena – getting to convey a feeling and tell a story about a brand in a brief musical moment.
