Paloma is a french DP and photographer, based in Paris. Born in Peru, to a Peruvian father and a Finnish mother, she grew up in France. After studying visual arts at ENSAAMA Olivier de Serres (France National School of Art & Design), she graduated with a Master’s degree in “Photography and Contemporary Art” at Paris 8 University in 2012, making her first steps as a camera assistant on features, commercials and music videos.
Two lines of work define her: working on movies as a cinematographer; as well as being a photographer and portraitist for press and fashion. Her work intertwines both mediums, questioning the relationships between static and moving images, and their common ability to tell stories.
In 2020 she lighted severals short films : “Apatrides” by Bastien Solignac with Stephan Crepon, François Creton, Marie Desgranges; “Alia” by Zahra Berrada with Fares Landoulsi; “Contre la Nuit” by Kahina Le Querrec with Mélodie Adda and Naël Malassagne.
She also developed photographic séries such as “Rue Marcadet” featuring the actors Manon Valentin and Naël Malassagne, or the "La Batie Festival of Geneva », a photo project conceived with Twice Studio. Since 2017, she collaborates with several magazines, particulary with Troiscouleurs or Marie Claire (as the photographer of the monthly column “La Rencontre d’après minuit”-“Meeting after midnight”). An other playground to experience, analog, portrait, color and light.
