Biography
Jamielyn is the director/producer of “When the Bough Breaks” a documentary about postpartum depression & postpartum psychosis. Narrated and Executive Produced by Brooke Shields, the film was distributed by Gravitas Ventures and released on Netflix in May 2017; it is currently in 70 countries and in 4 languages.
She also directed and produced “3 Years in Pakistan: The Erik Aude Story” the story of an actor who was sent to death row in the most dangerous prison in Pakistan for a crime he didn’t commit. The film is also distributed by Gravitas and was released at Laemmle’s NoHo on September 28th 2018 and is now on iTunes and VOD everywhere.
Jamielyn just completed the narrative thriller “Killer Weekend” which she directed for Jennifer Blanc & Michael Biehn’s production company Blanc/Biehn Productions.
Most recently Lippman recently produced the short film “Nothing to See Here” starring Kate Burton, directed by Amy Barham & Executive Produced by Drew Pearce (Hotel Artemis). Currently she is in pre-production on “Actor’s Life” a documentary about Hollywood actors. Ten years ago, Jamielyn interviewed 36 actors and now she is going back to see where they ended up.
Jamielyn is also developing the “Price of Pride” the narrative version of “3 Years in Pakistan” the film is a co-production with TRUTH Entertainment/ Joe Newcomb who Executive Produced “Dallas Buyers Club” and several other films.
Lippman is set to direct “Hollywood Gamble” a feature she wrote, set in 1997 it’s the story of two young girls who try to break into Hollywood by gambling with stolen drug money while chased by the mob.
Lippman owns Point Of View Pictures, which is a Los Angeles based Production Company. POVP has the rights to several true-life stories that are being developed into narratives and documentaries. Lippman is a member of the Film Fatales, AWD, Film Independent & Women in Film.
