Jasmin Williams
Biography
Queens native Jasmin Williams is no stranger to video production. Beginning her career at 12 years of age, working on video sets for artists like Brandy, Aaliyah, Miss Jones and LL Cool J, she’s since become a fully developed director/producer/editor.
Her gritty yet sophisticated aesthetic has resulted in collaborations with mainstream artists including Lil Yachty, Kranium, and Bridget Kelly. Her 2015 video for Kelly’s “Act Like That” featured Mack Wilds and was widely seen on MTV, VH1, Fuse, and various web platforms. She also directed clips for Ray J’s “Curtain’s Closed”, Teyana Taylor's "Make Your Move", and Wyclef Jean's Black Lives Matter-inspired track "Justice".
While she continues to implement a high level of quality with her work in the music video world, she now sets her sights on making waves in the realms of commercial/TV/film and beyond. Having just completed a striking visual for mold-breaking yoga brand Y7, Williams is on track to establish herself as one of New York’s leading voices in the city’s emerging generation of filmmakers.
