Suzanne Kim is a Sydney based filmmaker who creates narrative work that delves deep into the heart of the imagination and creates lyrical meditations on life. Her work is often described as etheral, poetic and surreal while grounded in authentic and intimate human connection. Her unique visual narratives incorporate a documentary intimacy with moving images and holds a particular interest in anchoring female narratives at the center of her work. Commercially, Suzanne has worked with brands such as Apple, Jordan, Procter & Gamble, Virgin, Kellogg’s, Aesop, The Guardian, Coca-Cola, Berlei, Red Bull, and Sydney Opera House. Her work has been recognized at various festivals including New York Festivals, BAFTA qualifying Aesthetica Film Festival, Adfest and Clipped Music Video Festival where she won Best Director. She has recently completed writing and directing on a new series for Australian broadcaster SBS and has featured in Vogue Magazine as part of their 'Best On Stage' series as one of the new class of Australian Female Directors to know.
