Camilla Uboldi
Biography
Camilla Uboldi is an Italian-born, Mexico City-based music composer and animator who has written music for theater, film, animation and TV series. She has assisted LA composer, Laura Karpman, on Black Nativity and The Galapagos Affair: Satan Came to Eden. Together, with composers Andres Sanchez Maher and Gus Reyes, she recently wrote the music for the documentary Ayotzinpa, El Paso de la Tortuga, directed by Enrique Garcia Meza and produced by Bertha Navarro and Guillermo del Toro. In 2017, she was selected for the prestigious Sundance Film Scoring Lab were she wrote additional music for American Animals, directed by Bart Layton. As an animator, she created the animation for Quake City - Music and Lyrics by Robert Kraft, as well as for Galactica - Music by The Rockets. In 2017, she created part of the animation for the show, Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, a live-to-film celebration, which took place in the historic Hollywood Bowl, Los Angeles. In 2018, she won the first prize of the PROCINE Competition with A La Gente, an animated short about the earthquake that occurred in Mexico in September 2017.
