Meghan Daniels is a director and photographer based in Cape Town, South Africa whose work is human-centric and sits at the intersections of cinematic documentary, fashion, music and art. Their work is diverse. From poetically cinematic to raw, edgy, and diary-esque - mixing mediums such as handycam, super 8mm, cellphone, analogue photographs and 3D motion graphic footage.
Meghan explores a broad array of themes, passionate about creating films that celebrate, challenge and explore issues surrounding gender representation. They believe in filmmaking processes that are collaborative, ethical and fundamentally caring in approach, and that prioritise the team, humans and processes involved in production.
Meghan completed an undergraduate in Social Anthropology, and Visual and Art History, and a postgraduate in Gender and Transformation and Documentary FIlmmaking at the University of Cape Town.
