Biography
Aisha Schliessler is a writer and director living and working in Los Angeles, California. A third-generation filmmaker, life behind the camera is in her blood. She has worked across a wide range of projects including short films, music videos, and commercials, which have been featured on notable platforms such as Booooooom TV, Girls In Film, No Budge, and Film Shortage. In 2019, Aisha wrote and directed the short film RHINESTONE BLUE, in collaboration with FUJIFILM, which screened at several festivals, including The Vail Film Festival, Beverly Hills Film Festival, and the Idyllwild International Festival of Cinema, to name a few. The film also went on to win a Telly Award, a Cannes Corporate Media & TV Award, and picked up Best Short Drama at The Valley Film Festival. Recent projects include the music video for JOSIE by Liza Owen/Epic Records, the short film, THE CALL, starring Juno Temple, which won “Best Short” at the Cinelounge Film Festival in 2021, and a large-scale social campaign for PELOTON. This spring, Aisha completed another short film, STICKY, optioned her first feature script, and was selected to be a part of the inaugural directing fellowship RESIDENCE at the San Francisco-based agency Goodby Silverstein & Partners.
