Biography
Jenny is a non-binary Haitian American cinematographer and photographer. Raised and watered in Boston, MA, and given the chance to blossom in Los Angeles, CA, they are currently rooted in Brooklyn, NY. With their artistry being directly influenced by their Afro-Caribbean background growing up in the vibrant Haitian community in New England, Jenny creates with the intention of bringing timeless Black narratives to life. Jenny aims to tell stories portraying everyday life in a raw, empathetic, and honest and captivating manner. Their work highlights the complexities and subtleties of Blackness as well as the portrayal of the Black experience exploring subjects such as the mundane everyday, love, religion, gender, and the community. Their short mini-documentary film "Beantown Reimagined: Ep 1 - Priscilla", which explored the black art community within the city of Boston, was an official selection for both the Boston Women's Film Festival and Imagine This Women's Film Festival.
