The New York EMMY winning short film SLOW DOWN captures the themes of LMCC’s River To River Festival: deceleration, stillness and reflection from a filmmakers perspective. Sargent was commissioned by PBS/ALL ARTS to make an original filmmaker driven experimental documentary that was broadcast on PBS and is streaming on the PBS ALL ARTS app. In festivals 2020.
Liz’s script for Ritz-Carlton & Hearst (Harper’s Bazaar & Esquire) was 1 of 5 winning short films to be fully funded. Produced by Louis Figgis, production by RSA Hong Kong, Final Cut New York, Jungle Sound London, Glassworks London, and on set mentoring by Academy Award Nominee, Mike Figgis (Leaving Las Vegas). The film was released internationally in 6 languages and is currently in the festival circuit. Strangers’ Reunion is an exploration of the anxiety and pressure to reunite with a loved one for the ‘first time’ across language, culture and expectations. See the full film on her website.
Liz is a Producer for Cyprian Films, New York with credits including Tango On The Balcony (dir.Minos Papas), Harvester Generation (in production), and Producer/Co-Director for ‘A Perfect Journey’ for TUMI and Tribeca Film Festival. Additional film credits include Co- Producer of the viral Pantsuit Power dance video (dir. Celia-Rowlson-Hall and Mia Lidofsky) and Co-Producer and Art Director for Gojira’s Silvera music video (Best Music Video Revolver Music Awards dir. Drew Cox).
Liz was a finalist for the 2020 AFI DIRECTING WORKSHOP FOR WOMEN and for NBC FEMALE FORWARD. She is represented by Ragna Nervik Management.
