Emily Kai Bock is a multi-award winning writer-director. Her work includes “La beauté du monde” for Médicins Du Monde, “Girl Anthem” for Gap, “Double Dutch” for Google and iconic music videos “Oblivion” for Grimes and “Afterlife” for Arcade Fire.
Her 2016 short film “A Funeral for Lightning” played at various film festivals around the world receiving the Grand Jury Prize for Best Short Fiction at the LA Film Festival and was nominated for the Grand Jury Prize for Best Short Film at the Toronto International Film Festival.
Originally born in Toronto, Emily completed a BFA at Emily Carr University where she majored in painting and sculpture. She now resides in California.
