Biography
Kathy Gatto is an award-winning editor and dedicated artist. Her passion for storytelling spans all genres, and her experience includes commercial, scripted, unscripted, documentary and feature narrative film editing. Her documentary work has screened at many film festivals, including SXSW and TriBeCa. She edited the feature documentary film, Oxyana, which received 2 top prizes at the TriBeCa Film Festival in 2013.
Gatto’s commercial work has included campaigns for such brands as Airbnb, Google, Nike, Bacardi and Etsy. And her commercial content has garnered international recognition and awards - including Cannes Gold Lion and One Screen Best Documentary.
Additionally, several of her projects are permanent installations at museums around the United States, including: Tribute – the World Trade Center Museum, The Smithsonian Institute, Federal Hall, and the World War II Museum.
Kathy is also a member of International Documentary Association, Alliance of Documentary Editors, and Women in Nonfiction.
