Biography

personal contact: annebuerger@web.de agent contact: mail@bettiberlin.com Anne started her career as a director and cinematographer for TV and cinema after graduating from the renowned University for Film and Television in Munich. Having a great sensitivity for interpersonal relationships and an acute observance also for the little details her primary focus has been documentary films and authentic storytelling. Her films unclose a pristine insight into different realities mirroring Anne’s perceptiveness of life and her great sense for aesthetics at the same time. Since 2012, Anne continues her creative journey by also working in commercials and branded content. Her films have been shown and presented awards at festivals including the Venice & Cannes Film Festival, Camerimage, Film Festival Montreal, Munich International Documentary Film Festival, New York Tribeca and Berlin International Festival. While she has been the DoP of most of her own projects, Anne also enjoys doing the cinematography for films of other directors. She values powerful imagery and a strong visual language in her films. Working as a documentary filmmaker helped her develop a good sense of leadership, which gives her films a visible authenticity. Anne’s broad spectrum of commercials and TV shows is not limited to any one industry, but a significant portion of her work has involved children, fashion and foreign cultures. Being a world traveler since her childhood she has extensive experience shooting in foreign countries.
