Catherine Haight, ACE is a film editor who has helped bring many award winning television shows and films to the screen. Cate has had a long collaboration with Joey Soloway that includes the film Afternoon Delight, starring Kathryn Hahn, and the award winning television series Transparent, and I Love Dick. She also cut both The Polka King, staring Jack Black, and The Good House, starring Sigourney Weaver and Kevin Kline, with the directing team of Maya Forbes & Wally Wolodarsky. Other films Cate has edited include Troop Zero, starring Viola Davis, Allison Janney, and McKenna Grace for directors Bert & Bertie, and Puzzle, starring Kelly Macdonald and Irrfan Khan for director Marc Turtletaub. She has also edited the televisions series Mozart in the Jungle, Girls, and New Girl.
A veteran of the Sundance Film Festival, Cate has had seven projects screen there, including the world premieres of Afternoon Delight, The Polka King, Puzzle, and Troop Zero. Her work on the pilot episode of Transparent earned her a nomination for both an Emmy and ACE Eddie Award. She also received an ACE Eddie nomination for the pilot of Girls. She is a member of The American Cinema Editors and the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences. Cate grew up in New Hampshire and now resides in Los Angeles.
