Biography
I grew up in Simi Valley California in a middle class family with three other brothers and sisters. My father was a prop fabricator, so I grew up around the industry. There was a lot of feast and famine in my family. When there was a writers strike food got short and when there was a large show our family would indulge.
I remember working in my dad’s shop at an early age to help with small painting tasks, cutting molds, or working the vacuum form machines. I watched my dad’s work ethic and knew how cut throat this industry was. I remember walking on set to Independence Day and the movie Bedazzled and seeing the actors and set design and being transfixed. I knew I wanted to work in the industry at a very early age. So back home I filmed stop motion animation, music videos, and short films with neighborhood friends. I was always behind camera writing and directing scenes at an early age.
Once I graduated high school I broke into the industry by production assisting in the art department. I worked on movies like Pirates of the Caribbean, Goosebumps, and Fast 8 until I got my first funded music video with Mario. After two music videos I managed to land a manager and become a working director. After much persistence and begging for a chance I managed to get a job as a director in a commercial production company where I built my reel up with branded content. After a few years of consistent work in commercials and music videos I found time to write a TV show pilot. Since then I have been getting coverage on it and developing it into a two season show. My goal is to sell the pilot and become a show runner and direct as many episodes as a network will let me.
