TYLER RABINOWITZ is a writer-director-producer with a dream of transforming LGBTQ+ representation on screen. Over the past five years, Tyler created short films and music videos that have collectively garnered over 60 million online views.
As a producer, Tyler's credits include LAVENDER (Sundance 2019, SXSW 2019, Vimeo Staff Pick Premiere), which was acquired by Searchlight Pictures, as well as THE MESS HE MADE (SXSW 2017, Short of the Week), and the music video for the platinum hit song LIGHTS DOWN LOW by MAX ft. gnash.
As a writer-director, Tyler's credits include SEE YOU SOON (Short of the Week, Palm Springs International ShortFest 2020 - Audience Pick, BFI Flare 2020), HOW I GOT TO THE MOON BY SUBWAY (Vimeo Staff Pick, Outfest 2019, Palm Springs International ShortFest 2019) and ALIENTOLOGISTS, which was acquired by Gunpowder and Sky's sci-fi streaming platform DUST and received the National Board of Review's 2018 Marion Carter Green Award.
Tyler is a graduate of NYU Tisch School of the Arts and was recently named a 2020 Tribeca Film Institute All Access Grantee. He's an alumnus of the Sundance Artist Talent Forum, Sundance Creative Producing Summit, the Sundance Ignite Fellowship, and the Jacob Burns Film Center’s Creative Culture Fellowship. In 2011, he was honored by President Barack Obama and Secretary of Education Arne Duncan as a U.S. Presidential Scholar in the Arts.
Currently, Tyler is developing his first feature length film YOU CANNOT ERASE ME, which was one of 10 projects selected to participate in the 2020 Inside Out LGBTQ Film Finance Forum.
