Nasty C’s vision was for a modern day Zulu superhero. Strangely enough the restrictions around filming during lockdown (level 4) led us to think bigger in terms of creative. It was an opportunity to go wild in front of a green screen. Because of the timing of the release of the video, it was also an opportunity to show elements that reflect the times we’re in. We’ve watched Nasty C since he was a teenager but now he’s growing up and becoming a leader in South African music. He’s recently signed to Def Jam Records in New York and we needed to show that progress and strength.
